CCC Business Directory (“we,” “us,” “the Directory”) is an initiative of Connect Circle Community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use cccbusinessdirectory.co.ke (“the Site”).
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
Listing information: contact person name, business name, location, services offered, description, phone number, email, website/social media links, and photos submitted when creating a business listing.
Payment information: payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your card or mobile money details directly — Paystack handles this in line with their own security standards and privacy policy.
Reviews: ratings and written reviews you submit, linked to your account.
Automatically collected data: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and site performance purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your business listing publicly in the directory (only after admin approval)
- Process payments for listing activation, renewal, and featured upgrades
- Send you transactional emails (approval notices, payment receipts, expiry reminders)
- Moderate reviews and prevent abuse or spam
- Improve and maintain the Site
3. How Your Information Is Shared
- Public listing details (business name, category, location, services, description, phone, email if provided, website, photos) are shown publicly to all visitors, as described in the consent you provide when submitting a listing.
- Payment processing is handled by Paystack; we share only the information necessary to process your transaction.
- Community platforms: as stated in our listing consent text, your business information may also be featured within the Connect Circle Marketplace and affiliated community platforms/social media channels for promotional purposes.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including SSL encryption, firewall protection, and regular backups. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights
Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal or legitimate business retention requirements
- Withdraw consent to data processing (which may result in your listing being removed)

The Site is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
